Project Overview
Apptyst is a mobile application that aims to solve the difficulties faced by contemporary artists in connecting with potential collectors and fellow artists. The app's primary goal is to create an effective platform that facilitates networking, collecting, and buying artwork, ultimately fostering a stronger community of artists and enthusiasts. By providing a user-friendly interface and robust features, Apptyst aims to empower artists to showcase their work and establish meaningful connections, leading to increased exposure and opportunities. Through seamless art and idea exchange, Apptyst envisions a future where artists can thrive and enthusiasts can discover and appreciate the diverse world of contemporary art.
My Contributions
As a UX/UI designer, my contributions to the project were multifaceted. Once I selected the prompt, I conducted thorough user research through interviews to understand the target audience's needs and behaviors surrounding art. I then created the information architecture, organizing and structuring content in a way that optimized the transition between displaying art and networking. Through wireframing and prototyping, I visualized and tested the product's layout, functionality, and user flow, allowing for feedback and necessary iterations. Additionally, I focused on visual design, considering color schemes, typography, and iconography to create a visually appealing interface that aligned with the brand identity and accessibility needs.
